GLOBSEC to Host First-Ever Under 30 Summit Global Retreat in Europe
Continuing the expansion of its global Under 30 franchise, Forbes announced its first-ever Under 30 Summit Global Retreat in Bratislava, organized in partnership with Forbes licensee Forbes Slovakia and global think-tank GLOBSEC. The Forbes Under 30 Summit Global Retreat is an invitation-only gathering of the most solutions-oriented 30 Under 30 listmakers who are transforming industries and driving change. It coincides with the 30th anniversary of Slovakia’s “Velvet Revolution,” which helped usher in democratic government and a new era of freedom and entrepreneurial capitalism across the region.
“With Slovakia about to celebrate 30 years since the fall of the Iron Curtain, Bratislava is home to many startups and a testament to the transformational power of entrepreneurial capitalism,” said Randall Lane, Chief Content Officer at Forbes. “The Under 30 Summit Global Retreat will offer our most influential and globally-minded honorees the ability to connect directly with their peers, address challenges and create meaningful partnerships in the heart of central Europe.”
Taking place 6-9 June in Slovakia’s capital city, the Under 30 Summit Global Retreat, which will draw more than 300 Forbes 30 Under 30 honorees and VIPs from more than 30 countries, is a part of the 14th edition of GLOBSEC’s Bratislava Forum, an established and essential meeting place for political and business leaders, visionaries and innovators who share a common determination to make the world a better and safer place. The GLOBSEC Bratislava Forum hosts annually more than 1000 participants from around 70 countries. The combination of the events will enhance both their potential and networking possibilities.
In recent years, Slovakia has been represented on Forbes’ Under 30 Europe list by honorees including Andrej Pancik, co-founder of crowd-selling platform Represent.com, and Ladislav Kovacs, a professional gamer with the team Faze Clan.
“We’re delighted to be partnering with Forbes to bring the first-ever Under 30 Summit Global Retreat to Europe,” said Róbert Vass, President, GLOBSEC. “GLOBSEC and Forbes Under 30 share the aligned goal of bringing together visionaries and innovators for dialogue and to develop constructive solutions for the world’s biggest problems, and we look forward to welcoming the Under 30 community to Bratislava. In June, Bratislava will become a capital of global entrepreneurship.”
“Slovakia is increasingly visible on the global stage as an emerging entrepreneurial ecosystem, benefitting from an abundance of young, homegrown talent,” said Juraj Porubsky, Editor-in-Chief, Forbes Slovakia. “Forbes Slovakia celebrates the entrepreneurs who have made it and we’re excited to join with Forbes and GLOBSEC for this celebration of local and global entrepreneurship.
